4 A Look at the School’s Curriculum
The educational program of the school includes: Extended classes of English and Italian languages, as well as Fine Arts – 1st to 12th grade. Computer graphics and animation, IT classes, as well as Arts and Science studies – 9th - 12th The School has been supported by the Italian Government through text books, literature, and trainees for over 10 years Through a decree of the Italian Government, the school began an Italian culture and literature curriculum allowing all graduating students to receive Italian diplomas recognized throughout the entire EU.

7 Curricular and Extra-Curricular Involvement
Acceptance into the school consists of a comprehensive national examination taken at the end of 7th grade Apart from the mandatory curriculum, students have the opportunity to take part in various extra curricular activities such as the Students’ Parliament, Euro club, and School newspaper among others. In 2008, students from the Euro club visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg and participated in a student plenary session during the Euroscola Day. In the spring of 2009 another 40 students and 6 teachers were invited to observe a plenary session of the EU Parliament in Brussels. The emphasis of English and Italian, as well as IT and computer classes have played a significant role in the students’ presentation and communication abilities in all national and international events.

10 The Italian Ambassadors posted in Bulgaria are honorable guests of all significant school events, celebrations, and functions. In 2008, a mosaic depicting the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri was presented as a gift to the School in a special celebration of the School’s Italian culture and poetry.
