Leaves This is where the plants food is made. Photosynthesis occurs in the leaves. Leaves come in all shapes and sizes!

Roots Healthy plants have healthy roots. When the roots are sick(diseased) the plant will not grow properly. Roots are needed to: Absorb water from the ground Anchor the plant in the ground. Assist with food Storage

Stem Stems have a lot of important jobs to do: Control the Size and Shape of the Plant Helps support the plant to stand up. Support the leaves in the perfect spot so they can collect light Move water, nutrients, and food through the plant. Store Food

Seed Has all the requirements for a new plant. Including what is needed for growth and development. All you need to do is to add water!

Now Starring… Anther – holds the pollen Stamen – Male part of the flower contains the anther. Pistil – Female part of the flower contains the stigma. Stigma – the part of the flower that is receptive to the flower. Petals – Attract the insects. Sepals – leaf like structure under the petals that helps to support the flower

Fruit and Vegetable Fruit – based on the definition anything that is edible with a seed. Vegetables – do not carry seeds.
