While I am talking… Run all Updates in the Apps Store On Apple iOS devices: ◦ App Store > Updates … Update All. On Androids: ◦ run Google Play Store app. ◦ Menu > My Apps … Update all. Once all updates are finished, close all running programs on your mobile device. 4Summer/Fall 2014

Points to Ponder Do you have WiFi or cell access where you need it? What kind of data plan do you have? Use app or use mobile site? Apps have to be renewed, updated. Web sites do not. Some apps (i.e. Epocrates) have more resources than mobile friendly web site, and some mobile friendly sites have (Access Medicine) more resources than the app. Some resources still don’t have mobile sites, just apps. Wireless Operation vs 3G/4G Cellular Operation Coverage and bandwidth are always an issue Wi-Fi can be much faster than 3G to install – wireless is under Settings. Go to Settings> WiFi, turn on, select FSUMED, Connect, enter password collegeofmed1 LTE(4G) faster than Wi-Fi. Turn off wireless.
