What you will learn in this session. Learn about QR codes and how to make them. You will discover new apps and how to use them with students. Learn how engage your students in group participation with these new apps. You will share YOUR ideas and favorite apps with other Educators.

What is a QR code? How can you use QR codes in your classroom? A QR code is a square grid of smaller squares containing encoded data that is designed to be scanned, to provide information. Reflection Cubes These blocks are a fun way for students to interact with each other. They can also put their “Teacher HAT”on and tell you what they would do different (when discussing a certain subject or topic). Go ahead and give it a try. Find a partner and scan away! How can students make their own QR code? Go to hand out. See sample book. You could use these QR codes for any subject and any age group.
