With its tusks an elephant can dig, rip the bark of trees, rest its heavy trunk and fight. M

An elephant can use its ears to cool itself down. When an elephant flaps its ears, its blood temperature can drop by as much as 9 degrees. If an elephant wants to fight it will spread its ears out to make its head look twice the size. L

When an elephant squirts water from its trunk it is powerful enough to kill a human. The elephant can wash itself with its trunk like a shower. An elephant can carry heavy loads on its trunks. A

Interesting Facts Elephants are not scared of mice. They are scared of ants because when they eat the leaves that ants are on, the ants can crawl up the inside of their trunks. M
