5  Opportunities should be excellent for qualified individuals in all branches of the Armed Forces.  The United States spends a significant portion of its overall budget on national defense.  The number of active-duty personnel is expected to remain roughly constant through 2020.  the drawdown from recent conflicts may lead to a decrease in the number of active-duty personnel.  The current goal of the Armed Forces is to maintain a force sufficient to fight and win two major regional conflicts at the same time.

9  Inspect damage and repair or replace plastic, fiberglass, bonded structures and bonded honeycomb assemblies and cut, bend and install hardware on all types of tubing  Balance aircraft control surfaces and ensure that repairs are pressure-, fluid- and weather-tight  Seal fabricated tubing assemblies, select components and fabricate and pull test aircraft cable assemblies  Operate and maintain powered and nonpowered tools and equipment to include precision measurement equipment  Use various methods of identifying metals, such as mechanical and chemical testing, in order to ensure that the proper corrosion treatment procedures are followed

10  8 and a half week Basic Military Training at Lackland AFB  Aviation Maintenance Technology Degree Earned  76 days of Tech School  College credits earned: 29  The only Tech school for this is in Florida
