Fractions Word Wall In math, the whole means the entire thing. My mom baked a whole cake for my birthday! She didn’t just bake part of it, she baked the entire cake!

Fractions Word Wall A fraction is an equal piece of the whole. Since there were many people at my party, we had to cut the cake to be sure that everyone could eat a fraction of the whole cake.
