Tasks When you launch Microsoft Outlook you will be placed in the “Outlook Today” screen from which you can go to all the various parts of Microsoft Outlook We have already examined the Mail, Calendar and Contacts functions of Outlook. The Tasks function is one which you can use to set up a daily “To do” list to keep you on the straight and narrow. It will remind you when the deadlines are coming for these tasks as well. You launch it by clicking here.

Tasks Here is the main screen It lists your tasks here To make a new task, click here

Tasks Type in your task here When you press Enter the task will be added to the list

Tasks Once you have entered your task, click once in the line under Due Date Then click on the drop down arrow to choose the day when your task is due

Tasks If you wish to make the task recurrent, double- click it to get this screen Then click the Recurrence button

Tasks Choose you pattern fro recurrence here Choose the duration for the recurrence here Then click OK and the recurrent deadline is set

Tasks You will be dropped back to the main screen Click the Save and Close button and you will be finished

Tasks When you set a reminder for a task, this screen will pop up at the time you set, to remind you that the task is due or overdue To get tell Outlook to remind you later, click Snooze To get Outlook to stop reminding you, click the Dismiss button

Extras you might want to try Test yourself: Start up Outlook Tasks Set up daily task to phone your mom every day for the next week ( she will be so pleased) Make sure you save it
