+ Warm-Up Vocabulary Please study your Vocabulary Set 4 words quietly. You will be summatively assessed in 5 minutes. If you are done studying then you may read silently. Please use your time wisely. Side note: Do not ask about Book Club Book Review Rough Draft Revisions Or check-ins … your current focus is vocab

+ Book Club Book Reviews If you shared your book review highlighting with me on Google Docs, then I graded it and gave my suggestions. If you did not share it with me, then you do not have a grade for it and it needs to be shared ASAP.

+ Today’s class time Vocab 4: 20-30 minutes Study and then test. Vocab 5: 20 minutes Review the next 15 slides to record the vocabulary words for set 5. Book Club Check-Ins: 30-40 minutes You will complete ALL Book Club Check-Ins 1, 2, & 3! Please use your time wisely. Do not talk, and waste time. Reflection: 5-7 minutes You will complete a reflection on this quarter’s book club on a separate piece of paper and turn it in. Homework: Be prepared to type your final draft of your Book Club Book Review next class! We will be doing it together on Biblionasium. Do not do it on your own yet!

+ Set 5 Vocabulary Pass out the Set 5 Vocabulary worksheet to record your definitions. Don’t start sentences yet. We will start those next class. If you miss any of the words, check my website and google classroom for today’s PowerPoint.

+ Book Club Reflection Please complete this formative on a separate piece of paper. This quarter we did things a little bit differently. I would like to know your thoughts and reflections on the following: How did you feel about the Book Club Check-Ins? Did they help you to write the review? Did they help you to further understand the novel? How did you feel about writing the book club review on Biblionasium? Do you think you will continue to use Biblionasium outside of class? What other comments or concerns do you have? Is there anything you would do differently? Please place your reflection in the IN BIN when you are done. Thank you!

+ Writer’s Warm-Up: 15 minutes Imagine your parents sit you down and tell you they want to go on a family trip. The trick is, your dad wants to go to one place (make it up) and your mom wants to go somewhere else (also, make this up). You have the ability to see multiple futures. So you have the ability to see what it would be like to go on your dad’s destination and then on your mom’s destination of choice. Map/write out your two choices. Which one would you ultimately choose? Why?
