2 Hybrid Courses

3 OHS – Hybrid Courses Last Year- Some of our Late Starts focused on Hybrid Learning. In the spring, Dr. Johnson asked if anyone would be interested. Interested- –College Readiness –Online resources and feedback –Previous Experience –Lab space –Flexibility

4 Moodle Training (All of us) Over the Summer Lauren, Jess, Erin, Angie, Cassie, Denise, Connie, and Teri were all trained on how to use Moodle. Lauren, Jess and Erin decided to implement for the fall for full courses Curriculum Development was individually done. We each looked at how we could chunk our content in order to deliver a rigor hybrid learning experience for our students.

6 Course Schedule Instructional Days- In Class- Teacher Driven- Instruction. Workshop Day- Student Driven-outside of class student activities. Erin’s AP World History Jess/ Lauren Composition

7 What does Moodle look like? AP World History –Lectures and Presentations, Notes, Discussion Forums, Online & Offline Assignments, Video Clips, Announcements Composition –Links, Online & Offline Assignments, Samples, Smart Board Lessons, Daily Guided Instructions, Announcements

8 Instructional Tools beyond Moodle Live@edu –Skydrive –Microsoft Office Products –Editing/ File Sharing –Email Embedded Content –TokBox –Voki –Video Clips

9 Feedback Survey- questions about Hybrid/ Moodle Delivery System –Positive AP World History Composition Parents Feedback –Conversations at Conferences –No Negative Feedback from Parents

10 Moving Forward: What would we do the same? Curriculum is working. Workshop/ Instructional Days Structure is working. Instructional Tools that we currently use are working. 13 Next Steps Reset and Revise the current class for next semester. –Continually adding new content – Using new instructional tools Continue to work with District IT and Southeast Service Cooperative.
