The school nurse provides leadership in both the professional setting and the nursing profession. A school nurse is the only health care professional in the school and is expected to be a leader in health and child advocacy issues.

Honesty: Keeping your word, following through Integrity: Courage to speak up when your view is unpopular Trust: Gained by acting in the best interest of the team or organization
