SELECTION PROCESS Written Exercise Each candidate must complete a multiple-choice written exam. Applicants who pass the written exercise will proceed to the B-PAD.

SELECTION PROCESS B-PAD Each candidate must take the Behavioral Personality Assessment Device, a video- based behavioral test. Applicants who pass the written exercise will proceed to the Physical Ability Test.

SELECTION PROCESS Panel Interview Interviews are conducted by a diverse panel composed of sworn, City, & citizen members. A percentage of successful interviewees will proceed to the Fire Chief’s Interview.

SELECTION PROCESS Conditional Job Offer The best overall qualified applicants receive conditional job offers. Candidates must pass health fitness, drug, alcohol, psychological, & functional capacity tests as a condition of employment.
