2. We’re going to learn to draw people using basic shapes as outlines. You can use: Circle Oval Rectangle Square

3. Or you can use: LINES STRAIGHT CURVED

4. To make a sketch, first draw simple lines and shapes. For example, study this painting “Torso with pink face” by Kasimir Malevich. What shapes and lines can you see? Oval Two rectangles Curved lines Straight lines

5. Can you see the simple shapes and the basic lines? This is a SKETCH.

6. Now we’re going to draw a boy’s face using simple shapes and lines. First, draw an oval for the head. Now, draw his hair. Draw his ears. Draw his neck. Complete the face: make a line and draw the eyes, the nose and the mouth. Now, delete some lines.

7. Look these rectangles. Compare them. Which one is bigger? Which one is smaller?

8. Open your books at page six, please. Look at the picture of a father with his daughter. Who is older? Who is taller? Who is smaller? Who is younger?

9. Now, complete the mother and her son in pencil. Then, colour and add details with coloured pencils
