2 The Four Seasons Winter Spring Summer Autumn

3 Winter: How can we tell? The days start getting shorter because the sun sets earlier. The temperature outside starts to get colder. The rain turns into white, fluffy snow!

4 Winter: What should we wear?
We should wear warm, thick coats so we stay warm. Hats, mittens and scarves to protect us from the cold temperature. Warm boots so that our feet don’t get cold.

5 Winter: Fun things to do!
Go outside and have a snowball fight. Build a snowman Put on a pair of ice skates and go ice skating.

7 Spring: How do we know? The suns rises earlier in the morning.
Days get a little warmer, melting the winter’s snow. Baby animals are born.

8 Spring: What should we wear?
Raincoats so our clothes stay dry. An umbrella to protect us from getting wet. Anything that is waterproof.

9 Spring: Fun things to do!
Play your favorite sport. Go outside and fly a kite. Do some spring cleaning inside your home.

10 Summer: How do we know? School lets out in June!
Days are warmer and longer. The sun shines a lot more.

11 Summer: What should we wear?
Shorts and t-shirts to stay cool in the hot temperatures. Sandals so our feet don’t sweat. Hats and sunglasses to protect us from the sun’s rays.

12 Summer: Fun things to do!
Go swimming in the ocean, lake, or pond. Build a sand castle at the beach. Having family cookouts or picnics.

13 Autumn: How do we know? The days start getting shorter because the sun sets earlier. The leaves on the trees turn colors and eventually fall off. Strong winds and harsh rain come.

14 Autumn: What should we wear?
Long jeans and pants so we stay warm. A thin jacket or comfy sweatshirt. Warm shoes that will make our feet stay warm.

15 Autumn: Fun things to do!
Go outside and fly a kite. Rake up the leaves in your yard and play in them. Have a bon fire with family and friends.

Spring time is a green time When seedlings start their growing Summertime’s a rainbow time When many blooms are blowing. Autumntime’s a brown time When seeds are ripe for sowing; But wintertime’s a white time When stars of frost are glowing.
