12. What is it exactly?
Teen pregnancy is when any girl between years old has sexual intercourse and becomes pregnant. Usually the pregnancy is unexpected & unplanned.

Although, some 900,000 Americans younger than 20 become pregnant every year, in the U.S., for year-olds, the pregnancy rate hit its peak in 1991, then fell off 17% by 1996
pregnancy became even less common in the early 1990s. Some 13 pregnancies occurred per 1,000 females in this age-group

22% of teens that get abortion are due to a rape and their bodies aren’t developed enough to go through the labor
2 out of 3 teens who get an abortion their parents don’t even know that they were pregnant in the first place.

A good thing to always keep in mind is BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY!

Divide into groups and respond to the case study you are given.
There are two sets of 6 case studies. Have the students break into 12 groups. Randomly pass out the case studies. Students respond to their questions. Afterwards they join the group who has the same question as they do and discuss their answers to compare and contrast.
Share the best of both of the groups’ answers with the class as a whole.
