2. Three ways to include research information Quotation- must be identical to the original. They must match the source document word for word. Paraphrase- involves putting a passage from source material into your own words. Paraphrased material is usually shorter than the original passage, taking a somewhat broader piece of the source and condensing it slightly. Summary- involves putting the main idea(s) into your own words, including only the main point(s). Summaries are significantly shorter than the original and take a broad overview of the source material. It is necessary to attribute quotations, paraphrases, and summaries to the original source (Driscoll and Brizee).

4. Citing sources: In-text citations In text citations are the parenthesis and the information inside the parenthesis. “Working conditions vary with the type of practice”("Health Careers In Michigan"). End quotation marks go before parenthesis. Punctuation goes outside the parenthesis.
