2 The Learning and Teaching Potential of a Hand-held Technology within an Educational Framework

3 iPods have very wide acceptance as an entertainment tool. Most kids are familiar with the interface, and those who aren’t tend to pick it up very quickly. It is a non-threatening entry point. Role of Technology in the classroom Technology must be transparent, through ease-of- use. Technology facilitates communication and the interchange of ideas, but places emphasis on the parties themselves. What is important is the idea, not the tool that wrote it or where you wrote it.Therefore, the main idea of the iPod is its use as a facilitator or as mediator of content which at the same time brings motivation to students due to its appeal. The iPods have been a relatively inexpensive way to showcase digital content. Many of our students have a lengthy commute to and from school; the iPod allows them to use that time to review content taught in class.

4 The iPod is a portable device that is capable of displaying video, audio, photos, and text. What is the iPod? The iPod is only a playback device; it has no network capability and users can not create content on the iPod. "iPod" is a brand name. They are MP3 players made by the Apple company. There are many different MP3 players on the market that have the same capabilities as the Apple brand. An MP3 player is a digital music player
