1 2015 Kid’s TRI 4 th Annual Kid’s Tri

2 Rules Swim belts are allowed 5-6 years old only Training wheels are allowed 5-6 years old only Helmets are required Running shoes are required (No Flip flops, Crocs, or any other shoe that can fall off during the event) This is a safety issue for the participants Once the event starts only the staff for the event can be helping the participants

3 When, Where and What to bring Sunday August 2 nd at 9am (Target time) the TRI Starts Registration will start at 8:30am Each Participant should be registered and ready to start by 9am Registration Tables will be setup to the right of the Main Entrance Once registered each participant will place their bike in their designated spot with their helmet and sneakers Each child will need to wear their bathing suit to start, their running shoes, a towel(optional), their bike, t-shirt and a helmet will be placed at their bike spot.

5 Distances 5-6 Years Old –Swim 25 meters (1 length) –Bike ¼ mile (1 lap) –Run ¼ mile (directly to the finish Line 7-8 Years Old –Swim 50 meters (2 lengths) –Bike ½ Mile (2 laps) –Run ½ mile (2 laps) 9-11 Years Old –Swim 100 meters (4 lengths) –Bike 1 mile (4 laps) –Run 1 mile (6 laps) 12-13 Years old –Swim 100 meters (4 lengths) –Bike 1 mile (4 laps) –Run 1 mile (6 laps)

6 Before the Race All participants once registered, will place their t-shirt, bike, helmet, and shoes in their bike spot. Once their bike is placed they will then need to go to the side field behind the parking lot and check in with their age group. At this time the participants should be only in their bathing suit without shoes. Parisi will lead groups in a pre-race warm-ups Heats will be formed and called into the pool consistently starting with the youngest age group.

7 During the Race We encourage all friends and family to cheer on the participants Places to cheer from would be the outside of the indoor pool, upper parking lot or the outside pool We ask that everyone please do not crowd in the parking lot where the participants are running due to safety concerns The participants will be on the sidewalk during the run in the parking lot. A majority of the run will take place in the field behind the outdoor pool. (This is the recommended area for everyone)

8 Post Race Members and those with wristbands will be able to enjoy our outdoor pool at the conclusion of the race There will be an award ceremony for the top 3 finishers of each age group (at 12pm) Snacks, refreshments and fun in the sun Each child will receive a t-shirt (run the race in), medal and a goodie bag

9 Helpful Ideas Velcro shoes Bringing a towel to dry off after the swim Ensuring the bike helmet fits properly before the race Practice the three events before race day
