Palm Sunday
Jesus enters Jerusalem, greeted by crowds waving palms and shouting “Hosanna to the Son of David” because they thought of Jesus as a king.
Monday
Tuesday & Wed
Jesus teaches in the Temple. He also throws out the money changers from the Temple because they were turning God’s house into a market place.
Maundy Thursday
At the Last Supper, Jesus washed the disciples feet as an example to show his disciples that they should also serve others, humbly. At table, he made the bread and wine to be his Body and Blood, and told his disciples to eat it. This is what happens at mass.
Good Friday
Jesus is crucified with 2 thieves either side. He forgives his enemies. He dies.
Holy Saturday
Jesus is lying dead in the tomb, waiting for his resurrection. Some people say his soul went down to the underworld, to free those with unforgiven sins.
Easter Sunday
Jesus breaks the power of sin and death by coming back to life. His disciples speak with him, eat with him and also touch him, and discover he really is alive.
