The objective of this Power Point is to teach your student how to count currency, mainly coins. It is a simple process and all you need to do is follow the arrows and read the instructions, then allow the student to do the rest. Press the “next page” button when you are ready to get started.

5. Penny This is a penny. A penny= 1 cent

6. Nickel This is a nickel. A nickel= 5 cents.

7. Dime This is a dime. A dime= 10 cents.

8. Quarter This is a quarter. A quarter= 25 cents.

9. Dollar Bill This is a dollar bill. A dollar bill= 1 dollar or 100 cents.

10. Five Dollar Bill This is a five dollar bill. A five dollar bill= 5 dollars or 500 cents.

11. Ten Dollar Bill This is a ten dollar bill. A ten dollar bill= 10 dollars or 10,000 cents.

16. Writing Currency 3 Adding cents to a dollar is as simple as this: 1 dollar + 53 cents = $1.53 -and- 2 dollars + 44 cents = $2.44
