What is my responsibility??? You are responsible for your own learning You ALONE earn your grade The amount of time studying is not nearly as important as what you do when you are studying

Setting Goals A goal is something you want to achieve

Short Term and Long Term Goals Short term—something you want to achieve soon Examples—finish homework, doing well on tests Long term—something you want to achieve over a period of time Examples—passing a class, graduating

Three W’s of Goals Each goal you set should include: WHAT you will do WHEN you will do it Your WILL to do it

Characteristics of Appropriate Goals ….within your skills and abilities ….realistic ….flexible ….measurable ….within your control.
