MISSION/OBJECTIVE Our objective is to educate future teachers the importance of healthy snacking, and ways to incorporate new ideas in the classroom.

SNACKS THAT HELP WITH LEARNING Encourage Concentration Provide Energy Boost Brain Function Examples wheat crackers with peanut butter, string cheese, apple or orange slices or carrot and celery sticks because they are nutritious and promote concentration. Yogurt with berries or almonds with a fresh apple.

INCORPORATING NUTRITION AND WELLNESS INTO ACADEMIC STANDARDS The Wisconsin Model Academic Standards lists objectives for major subject areas and grade levels that students must meet in school. National Health standards must be incorporated to students. All subjects can incorporate nutrition and wellness into academics.
