Family & Consumer Sciences Provides… Hands-On Learning Curriculum includes real life academics Career Exploration/development Career planning process Work place skills College & Career preparation skills Improve Academic achievement Provides opportunities for using Multiple Intelligences and different Learning Styles Build skills for life

These courses consist of: Career, Community and Family Connections Consumer and Family Resources Early Childhood, Education and Services Family & Parenting Food Preparation and Services Food Science, Dietetics, and Nutrition Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation Housing, Interiors and Furnishings Human & Lifespan Development Personal Relationships Fitness and Wellness Textiles and Apparel

Family and Consumer Sciences High School Curriculum These courses prepare students for: entry-level careers post-secondary education and for independent or family living

H alf and full year courses (can be chosen as independent electives or in a cluster) College credit available through several courses. Food Science may earn (1/2 or 1) Science credit Clothing Core and Housing Core can be combined for (1) Art credit Course Credit Options
