1 Hello my fellows My work is about eagles. Aren’t They Amazing This is what I think about them. EAGLES

2 Eagles Eagle’s is a type of Bird they soar up the sky And they are very cool. These Eagles can Fly up to about 100 meters above water. There are 47.000 left in the world. Eagles

3 EAGLES The Wedge-tailed Eagle has long wings (wingspan 2.3 m), a characteristic long, wedge-shaped tail, and legs that are feathered all the way to the base of the toes. The bill is pale pink to cream, the eye brown to dark brown, and the feet off-white. Young Wedge-tailed Eagles are mid brown in colour with reddish-brown heads and wings. They become progressively blacker for at least the first ten years of their lives; adults are mostly dark blackish-brown. The only difference in plumage between the sexes is that a female adult is generally slightly paler than her mate. Females (4.2 kg - 5.3 kg) are also larger and heavier than males (3.2 kg up to 4.0 kg). Wedge-tailed Eagles are Australia's largest raptors (birds of prey).

4 The Black Eagle is a large raptor at about 70– 80 cm in length. Adults have all-black plumage, with a yellow bill base (cere) and feet. The wings are long and pinched in at the innermost primaries giving a distinctive shape. The tail shows faint barring and upper tail covers paler. When perched the wing tips reach till or exceed the tail tip. The wings are held in a shallow V in flight. Seen on hot afternoons, scouring the treetops for a nest to maraud, this bird is easily spotted by its jet black colour, large size, and a 'characteristic' slow flight, sometimes just above the canopy. [8] [8] Sexes are similar, but young birds have a buff head, underparts and underwing coverts. The wing shape helps to distinguish this species from the dark form of Crested Hawk-Eagle, ( Spizaetus cirrhatus ). The tarsi are fully feathered and the toes are relatively stout and short with long claws that are less strongly curved than in other birds of prey. [9]Crested Hawk-Eagle [9]
