Early Childhood Born in about 1270 A.D. in Scotland. Scotland was controlled by England at the time of his birth. Wallace’s family was of Welsh decent. His family was actually somewhat wealthy.

Critics Wallace’s story has been exaggerated over the years No one knows the entire story fully Wallace inspired the Scots, but himself only won a couple of battles before he was captured and tortured

Legacy National hero of Scotland He died as a martyr fighting for freedom Scotland eventually gained their freedom from English oppression
