9. Elephants are taken from their families when they are 18 to 24 months old. A baby elephant who is still nursing is chained to an adult elephant in order to pull it away from its mother. The baby elephant never sees its mother again.

11. A kid-friendly way to take action against elephants being abused in the circus is to boycott the circus by not purchasing tickets and attending it.
