Jan’15 Kevin Thomas, Peter O’Connell, Peter Lewis, Steve Paskell, Martyn Walley Asbestos Issue Prevents Fire Safety Upgrade

Introduction Fire Safety Audit – Review to upgrade Historical Fire System within Supported Living Accommodation – None Compliance / Original Installation >30 Years Costing & Design Required for Replacement Hardwire System Tender Completed & Contractor Appointed Full Asbestos Survey conducted on Property – Start Delay due to Historical Issue Asbestos on site Solutions now required to be sought to maintain Fire Safety at property should system fail Aico consulted for possible solutions due to previous projects completed with Tai Calon

Solution Wireless / RF System Cost effective solution minimising site disruption Meet requirements of both Audit & H&S Report System Specification Design Drafted utilising new product providing Integration In House Electrical Team – Quick, Cost Effective Solution, PPM Maintaining Coverage of New & Existing System Enforcing Stay Put Policy with Visual Aid within Property Futureproofing System DDA Compliance Warden Call Integration Duplex Communication with House Fire Panel Presentation conducted with Tai Calon & South Wales Fire & Rescue Service Nov’14 Internal & External buy in gained for System Installation

Ei 414 – Integration with Part 1 Panel 4 x Ei414 units cabled individually to 4 Zone from the respective fire Panel } 10-30VDC Or } 230VAC Zone 1 - 4 C N/O N/C C N/O N/C C N/O N/C EOLEOL 470 ohm Either ‘+’ &’-’ from sounder cct Or volt free change over op driven from Fire Panel INSTALLATION NOTES; -Each Ei414 to be wired as above per Zone -Due to Limited Zone availability on the Panel, CO will sound the Same Circuit as the Fire Notification -Fire Alarm Trigger to the Ei414 can be either a Volt-free change over or triggered from the Sounder Circuit -Power Supply for the Ei414 can be either 230VAC or fed from the Fire Panel -The EOL resistor if not local can be substituted for the outgoing circuitry -The Fault Resistor 470 Ohm is indicative only as you will need to verify this from the existing panel on site

Ei 414 – External Functions Fire LED Indicator Service LED Indicator CO LED Indicator Power LED Indicator RF LED Indicator Functional Keyswitch House Code Button Underside

Ei 414 – Key Switch Function’s OFF ON TEST In the ‘OFF’ Position; all functions from the Ei414 are disabled – No Functional Relays will Operate In the ‘ON’ Position; all functions from the Ei414 are enabled – Any activation via actual Smoke, CO, Service or other optional Input will operate the appropriate Relay and LED – Any manual operation of a ‘Test’ button from a coded device will NOT activate the relays or follow on functions. In the ‘TEST’ Position; all functions from the Ei414 are enabled – Any activation via actual Smoke, CO, Service or other optional Input will operate the appropriate Relay and LED – Any manual operation of a ‘Test’ button from a coded device will also activate the relays or follow on functions. NOTE: The system MUST be house coded to differentiate between a Fire & CO RF Signal Type’s

Ei414 Live Schemes City of Swansea County Council – Newly Specified Scheme for refit – currently out to Tender Carmarthenshire County Council – 3 Schemes – currently out to Tender Integration with Main Fire Panel & Deaf Alert Equipment Hafod HA / Hendre HA – 5 New Schemes TAFF HA – Red Sea House Warden Call Integration – Installed

Maintenance Daily Checks – Scheme Manager Visual Inspection Weekly Checks – Completed by Scheme Manager Sample Test on Fire Alarm Devices Log Book Completed Any Faults Recorded and reported to Tai Calon Monthly Checks – Tai Calon Competent Person Attendance – Fire Alarm Test – Emergency Lighting Test – Log Book & Work Sheets Completed – Any Faults Reported & Rectified Immediately Essential Stocks Held in house
