4 Rules Entry Deadline: Deadline for submission and payment: 23:59 EST Monday, January 21, 2014. Please note that while you can register and load entries at any time, the entry will not be submitted to the contest until payment is made. Entry Eligibility: In order to receive any award, Accredited Member and Student Member entrants must be Members in good standing at the time of the presentations. Entry Fees: Each entry in the Accredited Member categories is $45 plus HST. Students who are CDECA Members may enter for free and non-member Student entries are $20 plus HST.

5 Entry Format Each entry is comprised of up to 10 slides. Choose your images based on relevance: for example, before and after images, images of concept or sample boards, images of plans, etc. Upload the images in a logical sequence starting from introduction and graduating to details. When naming your project, please do not use client name. A descriptive title ie: “Lakeside Retreat, French Classic Kitchen, etc. would be appropriate, keeping in mind any media coverage would include the title. Each entry should be accompanied by a project description that briefly describes the objectives, design challenges, and solutions. The project description takes the form of ten brief narratives that accompany each picture. The introductory narrative (Max. 100 words) should accompany the first slide. We recommend the first slide be your feature shot of the decorated space. The narratives for the other 9 slides may not exceed 50 words. New this year is the requirement to provide high level budget information. An input screen will guide you through this requirement. If the homeowner has provided some of the products or labour separately it should be stated on the budget form. For Student Projects, the introductory narrative (max.100 words) should provide a client profile. The Budget information is not a requirement for the Student Project. Students should upload images of a sample/presentation board, a floor plan, an elevation and a perspective drawing and may include additional photos, up to ten images in total. Please ensure that your images and titles are legible as they cannot be expanded or zoomed during the judging process. NOTE: Competition entries must not contain anything that would identify the entrant or the client. Company names, logos on boards, etc. will result in disqualification. We also ask that the narratives and budget screens not include any references to location or suppliers.
