1. Design task Three printing methods available to make the calendar are: screen printing (used by various artists and commercial print runs) digital print block printing (you may have done something like this before with either lino / potatoes. Also used by newspapers.)

2. Sketch ideas for your print. The most effective prints are often the simplest ideas. So don’t over complicate your idea.You have around 10 mins to do this. 5. Build up layers of card to create a relief. Don’t worry if you have drawn all over your work for the moment it doesn’t matter. 6 7 PVA all over your design to seal in the design.

6. Take a roller and begin applying a thin coat of printing ink all over the design. Cover the entire printing block. Design task 8

7. Take another roller or print roller and press the print onto the paper. Remove the block and you should have the final print. Design task Carefully turnover the print and place onto a piece of paper/card. Be careful not to touch the paper with dirty hands. 9
