D YLAN ’ S C ATERING W HAT ARE WE E ARNING To Determine what we have the equation: y=4X+250. The y-intercept earned I used being 250 and the slope being 4. The Next-Now form of this equation would be Next=Now+4, starting at 250. The money being collected is constantly growing with the number of people who are attending the catering event.

W HAT ARE WE SPENDING ? Cost of materials and food The equation for this is y=5.50X The y-intercept being 0 and the slope being 5.50 The Next-Now form of this equation would be Next=Now+5.50, starting at 0 The cost it takes to put everything together for the catering event will grow with the number of people attending the catering event.

C OMPARISON Making more money with a low number of people attending verses more people attending the catering event There are only a maximum number of people we can take before we start losing money The break even point is 170 people
