The Basics Color blindness is a very common disorder, and is also known as Color vision Deficiency. Every different color the person cant see, is called by its own fancy name.

How is it inherited/What causes it? In laments term, One of the 3 cones you have in your eye, has a slight shift, usually one towards the other. This is caused by a slight mix-up in the DNA.

How many people are affected? 1 in 12 people have some sort of color deficiency. 0.005% of the population are colorblind. 1% of males have Red Color blindness 5% have Red-green Colorblindness

Can someone be a carrier? Yes, it is possible for someone to be a carrier of the disorder, but not have it

What are the symptoms? Someone with color blindness, cant see the numbers portrayed in the next few slides.

Is there Treatment / cure? Currently, there is no known treatment for colorblindness, and no cure.
