Suggested Timeline Freshman Year Never too early to start researching colleges Get off to a strong academic start Attend all training sessions and games Sophomore Year Compile your target list of schools and schedule visits Maintain good grades, consider taking PSAT/ACT test Send soccer resume and highlight clips to coaches Attend College Identification Camps Register with NCAA Clearinghouse summer before Junior year

Dates to Remember Freshman and Sophomore Year Only student athletes can initiate communication with coaches Junior Year September 1 – Coaches can send soccer-specific information Senior Year July 1 – Coaches can call student athletes once a week Official visits can begin after first day of classes
