Up-to-date, professional. No DOB needed Personal Profile Skills/Qualities/Aim A bullet point list can be used to highlight key strengths Education/Training Most recent first Keep it relevant Don’t be afraid to show progression Employment History Most recent first Most recent usually has more content Highlights a range of skills and qualities – don’t repeat the same information to keep reader interest. Needs to show added value as well

May have built up a range of other relevant experiences, previous employment can fit nicely onto a second page. Interests/Hobbies Only for school leavers/those without much employment experience. References (if available) Keep up to date Keep relevant to the Job role Ask the person first – let them know you have applied for a post and talk about your recent duties/projects Some prefer to remove references stating “available upon request” Your choice
