Are They Ethical?

If I agree to donate my organs, the hospital staff won't work as hard to save my life ◦ Your doctor works as hard as he can to save your life. He is not even the one in charge of transplants I'm too old to donate. Nobody would want my organs ◦ There have been successful transplants from people in their 70s and 80s. Transplant eligibility has nothing to do with age, just health.
3
Religion ◦ Amish, Gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Shint are all not fond of the idea of organ transplants. It is illegal in some countries ◦ Organs are being stolen and sold instead of donated
4
They can save lives ◦ About 27,720 lives are saved every year because of transplants. One donor can save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of 50 others ◦ Organ donation gives life and costs nothing. They costs less than life-long medical care ◦ Transplants are very expensive, but will save the receiver money in the long run.
5
There is a lot of fear and confusion. ◦ Lack of education ◦ Media just began publicizing it What has happened where it is illegal? ◦ Sales of stolen organs ◦ Costs are much higher ◦ Animal organs are sold as human organs.
