Flexible Work Schedule ▸Voluntary ▸No change in employee’s compensation or benefits ▸Dependent on the operational needs of the department

Flexible Work Schedule Schedules within Limits ▸Administrative Offices ▸Standard Hours of Administrative Operation ▸8:30am to 5pm—Offices Open ▸Core Time 10am to 3pm—all present ▸Flex Limits 7am to 7pm ▸Management will determine schedules based on needs of the department

Flexible Work Schedule Guidelines ▸Full time—37.5 or 40 hours each week ▸Compressed work week ▸37.5 or 40 hours 4 or 4 1/2days ▸Part time can participate—fulfill weekly hours ▸Mandatory 30 minute lunch for > 6 hours

Flexible Work Schedule ▸Dept.– Flexible Work Schedule Plan ▸Flexible Work Schedule Agreement with Employee ▸Submit to HR for approval and signature ▸Dept. may discontinue if not in the best interest of the department. ▸Employee may discontinue if no longer working for them ▸Both must give 2 weeks notice.

Flexible Work Schedule Procedures ▸At discretion of department head ▸Default schedule must be defined ▸Productivity must be maintained

Flexible Work Schedule Approval Process ▸Supervisor, Employee, Dept. Head, HR ▸3 month Trial Period ▸Review every 6 months

Flexible Work Schedule Employees currently on a flexible work schedule must document according to this policy. DISCUSSION
