Edwin Aldrin Walked on moon July 1969 Set up instruments and took pictures of the moon. Spent 5 1/2 hours outside a spacecraft in July 1971.

Venus The brightest object in space. It takes 224.7 days to orbit the sun. It is on the far side of the sun.

Saturn Named after the Roman god of farming. The rings are made of pieces of ice. About 890 miles from the sun.

The Moon The moon’s phases are new moon, first quarter moon, full moon, and last quarter moon. The moon revolves around the earth and rotates as it revolves. There are craters on the moon that are caused by pieces of flying rock in outer space.

Group picture at work should be placed here. Space was very interesting to research. Our group learned so much about the different planets. We were very surprised to learn that the planets are almost never in a straight line. Also, there are many moons in outer space. Why doesn’t our moon have a name?
