3. Hispanic Heritage Month Joan Baez is a Mexican American folk singer and political activist. She made folk music, which had been largely ignored, popular. Among the first performers to urge social protest, she sand and marched for civil and student rights and peace.

5. Chef’s Club There is still room for 9 more students in the Chef’s Club. Sign up now with Mrs. Linda Reynolds in the cafeteria. If you have turned in a Chef’s Club form you are now part of the club! The first meeting will be October 14, 2014 and the club will meet once a month after that.
