3 RAINWATER HARVESTING Defined as the accumulation and deposition of rainwater for reuse before it reaches the aquifer, harvested rainwater can be used for irrigation, watering livestock or wildlife, or for human use as drinking water and domestic use such as house heating or flushing of waste.
