2. WHO IS THOMAS EDISON? Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. He was know as the “quintessential American inventor” for inventing “the phonograph, the transmitter for the telephone speaker, an improved light bulb, and key elements of motion-picture apparatus, as well as other bright inventions. 4. During the 19 th Century, the American Industrial Revolution went on where America emerged as a major industrial power and it development economically. This happened because of the many benefits they had. One of them was improvements were made to industrial processes; which brings in Thomas Edison. (About.com)

AMERICAN INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION & THOMAS EDISON Thomas Edison did not only create great inventions he also set up the first electrical power distribution company, & he created companies which benefited us. According to LucidCafe.com; “Edison was also a good businessman. He not only designed important new devices, he created companies worldwide for the manufacture and sale of his inventions. Along with other manufacturing pioneers of his era, Edison helped make the United States a world industrial power.”
