8. LEARNING OBJECTIVES/ACTIVITIES Learning objective #1: Understand perspectives in and demonstrate best practices in child development work. Learning activities:  Learn and demonstrate the YMCA’s core values  Seeks first to understand the child’s point of view, and remains calm in challenging situations  Takes initiative to assist in developing others  Strives to enrich their YMCA experience by introducing them to new programs and staff members

9. LEARNING OBJECTIVES/ACTIVITIES Learning objective #2: Facilitate active play activities to develop healthy kids on a weekly basis. Learning activities:  Strives to meet or exceed goals and deliver a high-value experience for children  Establishes goald, clarifies tasks, plans work and actively participates  Organize activities as needed and assist other staff as necessary  Posses the knowledge and skills needed to instruct in program activites

LEARNING OBJECTIVES/ACTIVITIES Learning objective#3: Develop and build trusting and appropriate relationships with children regularly using the polies and procedures learned through organizational trainings and daily practical use. Learning activities:  Build rapport and relates well to the children  Listens for understanding and meaning  Works effectively with children of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions

12. NEW ADVENTURE I am really excited to have a new journey this summer. I am excited to see what this practicum experience has in store for me. Most of all it has been a dream to work with children and be a positive influence in their life and development.
