E-Reader Revolution Ebooks come in many shapes and sizes and are different things to different users. Today the first thing that comes to mind may be a Nook or Kindle. But there is a longer history and many providers of digital books, beginning with Project Gutenberg in 1971. This session will cover a variety of formats, including both ebook readers and online formats, along with management of ebook readers in educational settings, the variety of online ebook resources and ways to integrate them effectively into school and classroom use.

Ebooks Began Project Gutenberg: 1971 – “On July 4 1971, after being inspired by a free printed copy of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, he decided to type the text into a computer, and to transmit it to other users on the computer network.” The first email was sent between two computers this year.
