2 Describing a koala The koala is a marsupial. Koalas also have grey fur and has large rounded ears. Koalas stay in Queensland blue gum, Tallow wood, Swamp Mahogany and Scribbly gum trees. They are related to kangaroos. Koalas have joeys once. Joeys are the size of a jelly bean.
