The 3 biggest ones are: The “Bodensee“ The “Starberger See“The “Chiemsee“ - Rhine- There are also a lot of rivers which flow through Germany. The Danube is the longest river but the Rhine crosses a greater area (in Germany) than the Danube.

Germany tries to be a “green” country because it cares about the climate especially referring to the climate change, which is an important and current topic in the whole world. Therefore Germany supports renewable energies. In the year 2011, 12.5% of used energies where made of renewable energies. In the year 2030, it is expected to increase to 30%.
