1 Formatting a Lab Report  Title: The word “title” is written and underlined; followed then by the name of the lab.  Purpose: The word “purpose” is written and underlined; followed by the purpose of the lab.  Procedure: Usually extremely detailed. You can summarize. Just a couple of sentences is fine. Procedure questions will be on quizzes.  Data: The word “data” is written and underlined. For this section you will either be filling out charts or questions will be asked to help you gather data.
