The school was founded on 28 February 1887 and started lessons on 2 March 1887 Since that time it has been offering a variety of vocational training courses It moved house and was known under different names However, it has always been predominantly oriented towards trade and industry getting students ready for life and work

Food related trades: Baker, Butcher Building industry trades: Bricklayer, Carpenter, Stonemason, Floor and Wall Tiler, Fibrous Plasterer, Building Machine Operator, Roof Tiler Personal and other services: Hairdresser, Manicurist & Pedicurist, Beautician, Painter and Decorator, Car Polisher, Photographer, Florist 4 Year courses: Building /Architecure Tehnician

Industry and Trade Vocational School Apprenticeship - Two days per week and two Saturdays per month – apprenticeship training with an appointed trade person/specialist
