Special procedures
24
CITROEN C4 Special procedure Key coding
This function allows coding new keys as well as already programmed Keys (used keys) but stored in the ECU memory. Don’t forget that NO MORE than a MAX of 5 keys are accepted by the system. Once the function has run, the system asks for the security code ( PIN ). CAREFUL ! Don’t insert a security code incorrectly since the ECU immobilizer may block. Please FOLLOW EXACTLY all messages shown step by step by the tool during the procedure.
25
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures ENGINE MANAGEMENT
Self-adaptation reset This function allows resetting all engine adaptation value and at the same time calibrate the idle actuator position. Note: In case of actuator replacement it is necessary to carry out the learning idle position through the ECU.
26
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures ENGINE MANAGEMENT
Learning functions reset This procedure allows resetting the learnt functions parameters in the ECU. The purpose of the learnt functions parameters is to learn the presence and features in the ECU of systems such as: clima, cruise, transmission, abs, etc. For example: Presence of the gear manual type is learnt through the released or pushed pedal clutch movement. Presence of the cruise is learnt automatically when it is activated.
27
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures ENGINE MANAGEMENT
Overboost counter reset This function allows resetting the overboost counter that stores in the ECU how many times air feed overpressure has occurred. In this case, the relative strategy of performance limitation is activated.
28
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures ENGINE MANAGEMENT
Knocking counter reset This function allows resetting the knocking counter that stores in the ECU how many times knocking strategy has occurred. The puspose of this strategy is to keep under control the knocking, reducing the spark advance and using an appropriate “lambda” factor.
29
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures CHASSIS NETWORK Key coding
This function allows coding new keys as well as already Programmed Keys (used keys) stored in the ECU memory. Don’t forget, NO MORE than a MAX of 8 keys are accepted by the system. Once the function has run, the system asks for the security code (PIN). CAREFUL ! ALL used keys must be coded at the same time ! If used keys are not coded, they will be ERASED and there will be no way of re-using them again in the future ! Please FOLLOW EXACTLY all messages shown step by step by the tool during the procedure.

ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures CHASSIS NETWORK
Emergency blinking This procedure permits enabling/disabling the “blinking light command” function when the remote control is used. Changing country modality This function permits modifying the alarm modality concerning the country chosen. Select the country where the vehicle was registered.
31
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures CHASSIS NETWORK Supply modality
This function permits enabling the utilities on chassis network (radio/cd, wipers, clima, lights inside ecc.) disabled in the Factory or Showroom modality. Usually this modality is present when the vehicle arrives from the manufacturer.
32
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures DASHBOARD Beam Basic setting
Through this function it is possible to store the basic setting (position “O”) of the manual Beam adjuster (on the dash). It must be done each time replacements or adjustments are carried out concerning headlights, to obtain the correct beam level when the internal adjuster on the dash is set to “0”.
33
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures DASHBOARD
Odometer Reset (Driven Km/Miles) This function permits resetting to ZERO the total amount of driven Km or Miles on the Odometer. Please note that the operation will ONLY be accepted if the value is under 200 Km / 125 miles .
34
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures DASHBOARD Reset service
This function allows resetting the dashboard maintenance indicator back to the factory default. The device has been programmed in this way to inform the driver again of the factory preset kilometers in order to carry out the maintenance.
35
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures DASHBOARD
Safety Belts Alarm ENABLING The following operation enables the acoustic alarm for unattached safety belts Safety Belts Alarm DISABLING The following operation disables the alarm for unattached safety belts
36
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures ABS
Acceleration-sensor (longitudinal ) Calibration Through this function it is possible to run the sensor autocalibration. It must be done when replacing ABS ECU or the sensor. To proceed with the calibration, be sure that all components are properly installed and connected, then run the procedure.
37
ALFA ROMEO – MITO – Special procedures ABS Autotest
This procedure permits checking if solenoid valves and the pump in the hydraulic ABS unit work properly.
38
CITROEN BERLINGO 08 Special procedures CHASSIS NETWORK
Customer modality This function permits enabling the utilities on chassis network (radio/cd, wipers, clima, lights inside ecc.) disabled in the Factory or Showroom modality. Usually this modality is present when the vehicle arrives from the manufacturer.
39
RENAULT KANGOO II Special procedures ENGINE MANAGEMENT 1.5 dCi
Injectors coding This operation allows storing in the ECU each individual cylinder’s injector code in case of replacement. In this way, the ECU can manage properly the Injection time according to the new injectors. Generally the codes are supplied with the injectors, but in any case are printed on each body. At the beginning of the procedure, just insert the code.
40
JEEP COMPASS Special procedures AIRBAG Capsizal sensor disabling
This function allows disabling the capsizal sensor so that it cannot operate. Capsizal sensor enabling This function allows enabling the capsizal sensor in case it has been previously disabled.
41
FIAT PUNTO 05 Special procedures ELECTRIC POWER STEERING
Steering wheel angle sensor calibration This procedure allows steering wheel angle sensor calibration and it must be carried out each time there is sensor replacement, wheel alignment or any intervention on the Directional Tread. To achieve it, correctly carry out the following: The vehicle must be stationary and on a flat surface. Centrally align wheels and steering wheel. Set off the procedure. To check that the procedure has gone successfully, drive the vehicle at 30km/h (20mph) and steering fully left and right check if the steering returns to its original position (+/- 20 degrees).
