2. 1 While we sing and pray together, joining as a family in an ancient form of worship to express our unity, we remember all our dear ones whom we can no longer see, and we feel the love they gave us living in us constantly.

3. 2 We recall the love that Jesus showed as something free and wide, and the death this loving brought him through men’s fear and broken pride. In this token of the supper on the night before he died, we remember all the loving that is daily crucified.

4. 3 But we praise with our thanksgiving joy that grows continually, all the courage and the knowledge, beauty we can hear and see, and especially Christ's expression of the loving spirit we can accept if we are only willing to be truly free. Liz Daniel c. 1973 © Josef Weinberger Ltd
