HINTS FOR STUDYING: 1.Study your vocab every night. 1.Only 9/44 of you actually used Quizlet to study your vocab for this test…and none of those people failed. 2.Make sure you know the basics: Subject pronouns, Ser conjugations, definite/indefinite articles. 3.Look over the format for things and make sure you understand WHY that is the format. 4.Translate sentences to practice and then CHECK YOUR ANSWERS. 5.If I tell you in class that something is going to be a common error, MAKE A NOTE OF IT and BE SURE TO STUDY THAT! 6.If you know for a fact something is going to be on the quiz, STUDY IT! (i.e. MEMORY VERSE)

KINDS OF MISTAKES ON THE TEST Memory verse : Spelling or else just missing words Spelling mistakes: Viente instead of veinte Trienta instead of treinta Missing accents on #’s especially Sticking accents in weird places Months: capitalized and misspelled (deciembre especially) Variations of “Mi llamo es” Date format/Time formats “es a las” vs. “el # de mes” vs. “son las” Messing up pronouns Using ESTAR or TENER instead of SER Sentences without verbs Sentences with 2 verbs conjugated next to one another

5. HINTS FOR TEST TAKING 1.Check your work! 1.Do all of my sentences have a verb? 2.If I translate the sentence back into English, does it make sense? 3.Did I remember my accents? (Pronounce words you put an accent on with an emphasis on that vowel. If it sounds funny, move it or lose it.) 4.Do all of my verbs match the subject? 5.Do all of my adjectives/articles match gender/# with the noun they are working with. 2.Read directions carefully 3.At least make an attempt at the extra credit

6. TAREA Test corrections: Write out fully on a separate piece of paper the corrected answers for any questions you got ANY points off of. You will be handing this in so be sure to keep it neat and organized.
