Job Embedded Training O Learning Communities O Action Research O Lesson Study O Out of District Conferences/Workshops (Document with an Inservice voucher)

Professional Teaching Certificate O Five year renewal period = 120 points O Inservice hours O 1 point per 1 hour of seat time O College coursework O 2 three hour courses = 120 points O Certification test O 60 points per test O 20 of these hours must be ESE SB1108 compliant O Call the PDC Inservice Office before registering for any out of district course or applying for a certification test.

Temporary Certificate O Valid for three/four school years O Nonrenewable O Provides time to complete all requirements for a Professional Certificate while teaching full-time O No inservice points accrue except bankable points: O ESOL O Reading Endorsement O CAR-PD/ NG CAR-PD O ESE SB1108 O (Valid only first recertification time- 5 years)

Bankable Points O Teachers with temporary certificates can only carry points forward into their first certification period and must use the points in their first time certifying. O Teachers with professional certificates may bank indefinitely. O ESOL, Reading Endorsement, CAR-PD, NGCAR- PD and ESE SB1108 inservice points

Inservice Points Transfer Employment change within Florida districts: O Contact the Inservice Office to initiate process, O Have appropriate personnel in new district write or call the Inservice Office to initiate the process.

Professional Growth System O Electronic tool Electronic tool O Anytime/anywhere access O Registrations for all non-school-based training O Online Professional Development Plans and Evaluations O Access with district user id and password O Inservice Rep can provide training
