4. Down syndrome is a disability also known as Trismony 21.

5. Down Syndrome is caused by having an extra pair of chromosomes.

6. Normally someone with Down Syndrome will have some kind of heart defect.

7. People with Down Syndrome are just human so don’t treat them any different than you would to any non- disabled person.

8. Be patient with them. They learn differently than you because their brain doesn’t grow as fast as their body which grows at a normal pace.
